At the upcoming NRF retail’s Big Show in New York, from 13 to 15 January 2019, Nedap (booth #4547) officially launches the iD Cloud software platform in the US. iD Cloud enables retailers to boost the inventory visibility in retail organizations, leading to a perfect on-shelf product availability and enabling true Omnichannel retailing.
“iD Cloud is the fastest growing RFID platform in the market with major roll-outs in Europe and South Africa over the past years. We also already deployed several stores in the US for our global customers, but now the time is here that we are ready to deploy major projects in the US with a dedicated local team,” states Rob Schuurman, Managing Director at Nedap Retail.
The iD Cloud software suite is a Software-as-a-Service solution specifically developed for retail applications, giving retailers the quickest route to implement RFID and improve their in-store stock accuracy to over 98%. The detailed insights into the stock accuracy and the exact location of each item is also the basis to successfully introduce Omnichannel concepts like “click & collect”, “ship-from-store” or “buy online & return offline” without adding complexity or a separate supply chain.
This is another breakthrough to make it easier and more cost-effective for retailers to deploy RFID
Rob Schuurman, Managing Director at Nedap Retail
Schuurman comments: “We continuously strive to lower the barriers for RFID. The latest feature we have developed is ‘virtual shielding’, which provides reliable sub-location data and eliminates the need for ‘physical shielding’. In our view, this is another breakthrough to make it easier and more cost-effective for retailers to deploy RFID.”
