Nedap Retail is a division of Nedap that develops innovative solutions for retailers the world over. What tasks will you perform?
As Product Manager, you will be responsible for one of our product categories and will ensure that that product category corresponds as closely as possible with the (future) needs of our clients. You will travel all over the world to talk to our clients about the challenges they face, to identify market opportunities, to respond to technical developments and to understand the needs and requirements of sales teams.
This will then translate into a short-term and a long-term vision for a product that will ultimately be implemented in close collaboration with our sales teams.
In addition to developing the “Product Roadmap”, you will also be closely involved in the launch of new products and functionalities, so as to enable your colleagues from marketing and sales to deploy and sell the new products in a commercial and profitable manner.
What team will you be part of?
You will form part of the Product Management team, which consists of four people, whose task it is to ensure that the Development teams create a product that is not only effective, but is professionally designed and manufactured as well.
What type of person are we looking for?
In view of the fact that there are no university-level courses in Product Management, we are looking for someone who is willing to undergo training in house. As a minimum, you will have completed an academic course of study in Industrial Design, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a similar discipline. You will preferably have already gained some experience as a developer or engineer and can complement that knowledge by possessing social and communications skills. That will enable you to weigh up differing interests, to translate those into a vision and to explain that vision to colleagues, partners and clients. In addition, you will have a mastery of the English language, will be available full-time and will be prepared to travel for approximately two weeks per month.
