Nedap Retail is a subsidiary of Nedap that develops and markets innovative solutions for international retailers worldwide. Through our solutions for inventory management and security, we make it possible for retailers to guarantee that they have the right product available for their customers at all times. In order to achieve this, Nedap Retail develops “state-of-the-art” hardware and software services based on RF and RFID technology.

!D Cloud is a cloud-hosted software suite based on RFID technology designed to automate in-store inventory management, resulting in optimal product availability with over 98% accuracy in store.

Due to the rapid success of !D Cloud, we are presently looking for a Business Developer.

What tasks will you be performing?

As a Business Developer in the !D Cloud team, you will be responsible for developing the proposition in an international client environment and initiating contact with clients. Your day-to-day tasks will include conceptual sales and strategically positioning solutions. You will build the bridges between tech and commerce, putting technology into terms our clients can understand and appreciate and offering practicable, scalable solutions. Your position will be a comprehensive one that includes presenting to (international) clients, negotiating with them, making deals, supervising projects and realising the journey from pre-rollout (pilot) to concrete rollout.

What team will you be part of?

What type of person are we looking for in a Business Developer?

We’re looking for someone for this position who sees themselves in the following:

  • HBO/WO level (advanced vocational training or college level/university-educated) in IT/Business Administration/Technology
  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience in an IT or software environment (preferably SaaS)
  • Experience in conceptual sales of software solutions
  • A sparring partner on various levels
  • Retail industry experience is a plus
  • Pioneer
  • Self-starter
  • Willing to travel (internationally)
